It is a source of pride that Tunewelders is 100% owned by its staff (business partners Jeremy Gilbertson, Ben Holst and Jason Shannon). While we are musicians first and foremost, we embrace the challenge and excitement of blazing our own trail as business owners and entrepreneurs.
Ben is a graduate of the The Grady College at the University of Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism - Advertising. His introduction to the Atlanta music industry began at Southern Tracks Recording Studio where he fetched coffee for international recording artists under the guidance of Grammy Award® winning producer Brendan O’Brien.
Since that time, he has established himself as an industry leader in Sound Design, and has written and produced campaign music for JFG Coffee, AGCO Tractors, Full Throttle Energy Drinks, The Medical University of South Carolina, Baskin-Robbins, Gas South, Bonnie Plants, The Atlanta Hawks, CNN, Carmike Cinemas, Toyota, Comedy Central's Brickleberry, and the Atlanta Braves. He has been awarded multiple Gold and Silver ADDY® awards for Sound Design and Original Music - most notably serving as Sound Designer and Audio Post Mixer for the top Nielsen-rated Doritos “Goat4Sale” commercial which aired during the 2013 Super Bowl XLVIII.
Ben is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist specializing in Americana instruments such as guitar, pedal steel, dobro, mandolin, upright bass, piano, and drums and has been a featured performer with violinist Bobby Yang and the Atlanta Pops Symphony. He performs regularly with the band Quiet Hounds and actively donates time to fundraising efforts for the Georgia Innocence Project.
A graduate of Kennesaw State University's Business Administration program, Jeremy is a proven and successful entrepreneur. As co-founder of Tunewelders, he has turned his business focus towards music, his first passion. He is on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Ad Club and is active with the Georgia Music Partners and the Technology Association of Georgia.
