BEN HOLST - Partner, Composer, Producer
Ben is a 20+ year veteran of the music and audio industry, working his way from Brendan O’Brien’s studio intern and latte wrangler to independent business owner, award-winning sound designer and audio mixer, and consummate music and audio professional. Ben co-founded Tunewelders with Jeremy Gilbertson in 2008, and since then has shaped its perennial growth with his mastery of both performance and deliverable.
His deep client portfolio and body of work demonstrate a skill and ease behind the console as well as in front of a mic. He works extensively in television, providing dialogue recording (FX’s Archer), soundtrack engineering (OWN’s Greenleaf), and custom music (AMC Networks’s Hap and Leonard, the theme for Comedy Central’s Brickleberry), and he collaborated with Donald Glover on the music for Atlanta’s season two “Choir” promo. He’s built an impressive resume in advertising, creating custom music for Baskin-Robbins, Atlanta Braves, and CNN and providing sound design, audio branding for those same clients as well as for Toyota and Porsche. Ben’s commercial music and sound design work has earned several Addy awards, including the Braves’ 2012 This Is Why We Chop and 2016 Mr. Hugs campaigns, Krystal’s 2015 Stupid Good campaign, and Doritos Crash the Super Bowl 2013 Finalist, Goat 4 Sale.
His first love is music, and Ben has cultivated an influential and well-respected position within the business. He engineered and provided additional production for India.Arie’s Grammy-nominated album SongVersations: Medicine and additional recording for the Indigo Girls’ upcoming symphonic album, and he is a go-to name for recording and engineering in the Atlanta music scene. Ben’s performance credits include guitar and upright bass for renowned violinist Bobby Yang, guitarist for Michelle Malone, and current guitarist, pedal steel, and mandolinist for Atlanta band Quiet Hounds. He is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and has lent his talents in the recording studio on recordings too numerous to list.
He is a passionate advocate for the Georgia Innocence Project and contributes his time and professional talents to promote its mission of exonerating the wrongfully convicted.
JEREMY GILBERTSON - Partner, Executive Producer
A graduate of Kennesaw State University's Business Administration program, Jeremy is a proven and successful entrepreneur. As co-founder of Tunewelders, he has turned his business focus towards music, his first passion. His advertising production credits include Full Throttle Energy Drinks, Coke Zero, CBS Final Four Pre-Game, Medical University of South Carolina and Baskin-Robbins. He co-wrote "Energy at Work", a 2012 Bronze ADDY® award winning campaign music for Full Throttle Energy Drinks.
A talented composer and multi-instrumentalist, his work has been featured in the feature-length documentary Outcast Forever and the independent short-film The Boyscout. He is on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Ad Club and is active with the Georgia Music Partners and the Technology Association of Georgia.
JASON SHANNON - Partner, Composer, Technologist
Jason graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a Master Certificate in Arranging and Orchestration, and studied at the Ali Akbar College of Music under Grammy Award®-winning composer Ali Akbar Khan. He also studied musical performance under virtuoso mandolinist Evan Marshall. Jason has arranged, composed and performed original music for advertising, television, short films, documentaries and video games. His credits include the Atlanta Hawks, Coca-Cola, CNN, Fox Sports, PGA, Super Bowl XLVIII, the film “Hits” (an official 2013 Sundance selection) and a wide range of independent short films and documentaries.

THOMAS AVERY - Producer, Composer (Austin, TX Market)
Thomas graduated from the Vermont College of Fine Arts with a Master’s Degree in Music Composition, studying under Ravi Krishnaswami, Don DiNicola, and Rick Baitz. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts from the Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia, where he was mentored by Composer Steve Dancz.
Thomas is a skilled multi-instrumentalist, proficient on the piano, guitar, drums, and bass, as well as the mandolin and banjo. When he’s not composing original music for CNN, or scoring the original series Roommates Unwanted, he’s arranging, producing, and performing with independent artists. He is based out of the Music Lab in Austin, TX.
MATT HOBBS - Audio Experience Designer, Composer
A graduate from University of Florida with a degree in marketing, Matt provides a unique combination of expertise in UX Design and brand storytelling as well as music composition and songwriting.
With extensive experience leading UX Design and brand storytelling for organizations around Atlanta, Matt has a unique ability to dissect and understand how brands are resonating with audiences and uncover insights on how best to connect with those audiences through musical experiences and activations.
Matt is songwriter and composer at heart. He has completed coursework and masterclasses with Pat Pattison, renowned songwriting professor at Berklee College of Music. A multi-instrumentalist fluent with piano, guitars, voice, and ukulele, Matt has released two original albums as a solo songwriter. Matt is also a resident musician at Dad’s Garage Theatre Company, where he plays music for improv shows, composes songs for scripted productions, and provides music direction for musicals. DAVID LABRUYERE - Composer, Producer
David LaBruyere (Dela) is a musician, songwriter, and producer born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He started in the music business in high school by playing bass guitar in locally popular independent bands and working for a family member’s sound and light production company. David moved to Athens, GA. in 1987 and began playing on recording sessions. He lived in Athens and Atlanta, GA. for a combined total of eighteen years. Since 2006, he has lived in Nashville, TN.
David has collaborated with and / or played on recordings for John Mayer, Shawn Mullins, Ben Rector, Jonathon Cain, Howard Tate, Kelly Clarkson, David Wilcox, Michelle Malone, The Shires, Sara Evans, Brett Eldredge, Andy Davis, Peter Frampton and many other artists.
