  • Ben Holst

    General Partner, Co-Founder
Music Producer, Mix Engineer & Composer

With over two decades of diverse experience in the music industry, Ben Holst is a multi-talented musician, producer, engineer, and composer. His journey began at the University of Georgia's Advertising program, crafting radio ads on an 8-track reel-to-reel tape recorder, a skillset that paved the way for the co-founding of Tunewelders with his lifelong friend and former bandmate, Jeremy Gilbertson.

Ben's proficiency both in front of the mic and behind the console is mirrored in his extensive body of work. As Atlanta emerged as a vibrant multimedia hub, he delved into longer-form television and film production, providing dialogue recording for FX’s Archer, soundtrack engineering for OWN’s Greenleaf, and custom music contributor for series such as AMC Networks’s Hap and Leonard, Comedy Central’s Brickleberry, and Netflix's The Liberator.

His collaborations have seen him working with notable figures like Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) on a unique children's choir arrangement for the FX series Atlanta season 2 promo. His contributions to short-form commercials for brands like The Atlanta Braves and Baskin Robbins have earned Tunewelders several Addy awards. Additionally, in 2020, Ben was appointed as the Director of Creative Media and Brand Development for music live streaming company Volume.com.

When he's not creating in the studio, Ben is committed to giving back, teaching Veterans how to write and produce music with the Alchemy Sky Foundation and serving on the Board of Governors for the Recording Academy's Atlanta Chapter.
